Statement from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Concerning the Tragic Incident in Örebro, Sweden

On behalf of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Sweden, I extend our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Sweden following today’s barbaric attack on a school in the city of Örebro, which claimed the lives of eleven innocent people and left many others wounded.

We are profoundly saddened by this senseless act of violence against innocent civilians, and educators. As Afghans, we deeply understand the pain and sorrow caused by such atrocities, having endured similar tragedies in our own country. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, the injured, and the entire Swedish nation during this difficult time.

We stand in solidarity with Sweden in condemning this heinous act and reaffirm our commitment to peace, security, and the protection of innocent lives. May those who lost their lives rest in peace, and may their families find strength and comfort in this moment of grief.
