‏Meeting with H.E. the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament (Riksdag)

Najibullah Mohajer, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Sweden, met with Mr. Andreas Norlén, Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the inaugural session of the second working term of the Swedish Parliament at the Riksdag.

‏During the discussion, Mr. Mohajer expressed his gratitude for the Swedish government’s and people’s continued support for Afghanistan and emphasized the importance of sustaining these efforts. He also highlighted the necessity of maintaining and strengthening Sweden’s support for the Afghan people in various sectors and called for the continuation of this commitment.

‏In response, the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting the Afghan people, stating that Sweden has always stood by them and remains dedicated to their aspirations.
