Tribute to Pope Francis

On Friday morning, 25 April 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Sweden visited the Embassy of the Holy See in Stockholm to extend heartfelt condolences to His Excellency Archbishop Julio Murat, Apostolic Nuncio to Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark, on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

During the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires conveyed deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of His Holiness Pope Francis in promoting interfaith dialogue, fostering peace, and advocating for the rights of the oppressed. On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires also signed the Book of Condolence opened in memory of the late spiritual leader of the global Catholic community.
